Lalgarh – Sixth Letter From Peoples’ Committee Against Police Atrocities (Original Bengali Version)

November 10, 2010

We are publishing the sixth letter from the Peoples’ Committee Against Police Atrocities addressed to Association for Protection of Democratic Rights (APDR), Lalgarh Mancha, Sanhati, Forum Against Atrocities, Gana-Pratirodh Mancha, intellectuals of Kolkata and outskirts and to all progressive organizations. The letter, written in Bengali, reports about the killing of PCAPA leader Umakanta Mahato and other comrades, the continued repression and harassment of villagers, specially women and the unending attacks of CPIM’s Harmad Vahini. In many cases, it provides a perspective which differs from reports that have appeared in the mainstream media. An English translation of this letter will be published shortly.
