They are collecting text books for the Madhyamik and Uchchamadhyamik candidates (and also for other students) of Nandigram, since the houses of few students are completely burnt including their books. If anybody in Kolkata wants to contact them for their help (mainly with text books, but not limited to that) can call the following people:

To inform you, I am attached to a medical institution MSC (Medical Service Center), which operates in any Disaster/Calamity since 1978. The organization is run by a group of doctors, nurses and paramedical people along with 50+ medical students as volunteers, who prefer not to call it an NGO.You can lear more about them at http://medicalservicecentre.org/
We have provided medical support to the victims in Nandigram after the 14th March incident. Recently, we have been allowed by the administration to provide medical treatment among the deceased and the bereaved after the 10th Nov incident. Today’s Anandabazar Patrika elaborates the acts of MSC for the Nandigram victims mentioning a possible outbreak of epidemic in the relief camp for the victims. Children are troubled with malnutrition, chronic diarrhea and acute mental trauma, the report says. We have examined some 500-600 victims in 2 days, and the result is horrifying. We will treat more in the coming days as 4,000-5,000 people are in our radar presently.
So at present, we need some urgent monetary help on account of medicine, transportation, specialist doctors, physiotherapy units, blood etc. If possible, please respond to the appeal because people like us only need this aid.Any amount is acceptable. At the same time, please feel free to contribute.
I am sure, there will be many more interested people around you - hence please share the content of this mail with them and ask them to contribute and propagate the message — our goal is to collect as much as possible since even that may not be sufficient.
